EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Perkiomen Valley School District Foundation
SUMMARY
The Perkiomen Valley School District Foundation (Foundation) is seeking an Executive Director to build upon the existing progress of the Foundation, with an effort to improve fundraising, social media presence, and organizational structure for the enhancement of educational opportunities offered to the students of the Perkiomen Valley School District (PVSD). The Executive Director will be responsible for the operations of the Foundation with key responsibilities of promoting awareness of its mission, fundraising activities, and management of the grant distribution process.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Represent the Foundation and maintain a comprehensive understanding of its mission
• In partnership with the Foundation Board, create and implement annual fundraising operational plan and corresponding budget to meet/exceed year over year growth; cultivate and grow donor relationships with the community, alumni, and business partners via direct meetings, fundraising programs and events, and the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program
• Create communication plan to assist fundraising, event promotion, and grant outcome success
• Prepare Foundation’s Annual Report to the community, marketing and fundraising materials, and donor acknowledgements
• Coordinate fundraising events, providing input on planning and support on implementation of Foundation activities
• Create and manage donor database to monitor return on investment analysis; track and report on contributions and efforts; and research prospect information for positive trends
• Attend Foundation Board meetings and events
• Manage Foundation annual grant distribution and award process
• Liaison with PVSD employees and officials to coordinate grant processes, fundraising, and other efforts
• Routinely attend PV Chamber and community events; be present in the community
• Maintain and update content (text and photos) on the Foundation WordPress website
Reports to:
• Foundation Board of Directors, with specific reporting to President and Executive Committee
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated knowledge and successful experience in education foundation or non-profit management, fundraising and effective donor communications
• Knowledge or experience with the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program
• Experience in development and marketing especially social media platforms such Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn
• Excellent analytical and organization skills, including the ability to multi-task and manage demands and/or projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and publishing programs
• Experience with website content management preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective team member
• Ability to develop defined goals and budgets and meet deadlines and goals
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends periodically
OTHER JOB DETAILS
• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Expected Work Hours: Approximately 10-20 hours per week, on average
• Compensation: Negotiable
• Job Type: Part-time, contracted position
• Clearances: Child abuse, criminal history and FBI clearances required
