Child Welfare Behavioral Health Counselor

TITLE OF POSITION: Child Welfare Behavioral Health Counselor

PROGRAM: BAY Outpatient (Panama City Florida)

MINIMUM TRAINING, CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Master’s degree level practitioners. Practitioners must hold a degree from an accredited university or college with a major in counseling, social work, psychology, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education, or a related human service field; and knowledge of or experience working with the Child Welfare System. 

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Complete comprehensive evaluations for substance use and mental health disorders, develop co-occurring treatment and safety plans and reviews, work with families toward the implementation and completion of the treatment and reunification plans, coordinate services with other agencies as needed, work closely with Child Welfare Staff, prepare necessary reports in a timely manner, be available for consultations, assist in reintegrating families or preventing removals from the homes,  Provide individual, family and group counseling

Minimum Salary: $40,000

* Additional compensation for LCSW or LMHC
