Operates asphalt plant that produces asphalt for asphalt paving construction. Moves controls on panel board or control board to heat, dry, and mix ingredients, such as asphalt, sand & stone, to produce asphalt paving materials. Observes gauges, dials, and operation of machinery to ensure conformance to processing specifications. May be required to repair machinery, using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. May require daily maintenance on tools and equipment. May perform other related duties. This is a Safety-Sensitive Position. An employee has to be with a clear mind and be diligent while occupying such positions. Must be able to work at heights about 15 feet. Must be able to lift-lower, push-pull, and carry weights up to 100 lbs. Must be albe to work in all weather conditions.
