Board of Fire and Police Commissioners will be accepting applications for New Police Officer and Lateral/Certified Police Officer for the Sterling Police Department.
General Requirements for New Police Officer: Must be 21years of age and not have reached your 35th birthday, U.S. citizen, high school diploma or equivalent, valid Illinois driver's license, and good health and vision. Exam required.
General Requirements for Lateral/Certified Police Officer: Requirements listed on www.theblueline.com and www.sterling-il.gov. The Mandatory orientation/testing will be held for applicants on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. at the Sterling High School, 1608 4th Avenue, Sterling, IL. Check-in will start at 8:30 a.m.
