Job Description

The Department of Population Health Sciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech is seeking an Assistant Program Manager for the Empowering Healthy Lifestyles to Reduce Obesity in Petersburg, Virginia.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Primary residence in Petersburg, Virginia.
Experience working with farmers and stakeholders in community-based projects.
Experience with community engagement, outreach and organizing.
Experience with managing project staff.

Preferred Qualifications

Education and/or experience in communications and public relations.
Experience in implementing policy, systems and environmental initiatives.
Experience in collecting data for program monitoring and evaluation.
