This Medical Assistant is a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team in Pathways, a program providing Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) and other medical services to vulnerable individuals with opioid use disorder, including those living unsheltered, recently released from incarceration, and with co-occurring severe mental illness. The incumbent works as a paraprofessional performing delegated patient care functions under the clinical direction of a Physician, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Registered Nurse and under the supervision of a site manager or Personal Health Services Supervisor (PHSS). This is a fast-paced position requiring exceptional customer care. This provider welcomes clients to our clinic, performs front desk clinic and client support duties, back-office rooming, point of care testing and initial assessments; provides health education and linkage to resources; and is expected to regularly adapt their role/tasks in order to maximize clinic efficiency and flow system. Additional duties are as assigned and can include immunizations, phlebotomy, medication administration, intramuscular, intradermal (including PPDs) and subcutaneous injections, data entry into tracking system, COVID Response. This position works in-person/onsite.
