This position:

• Supports the finance/accounting department
• Works closely with the CFO and is responsible for carrying out a number of general accounting functions and miscellaneous duties

Knowledge and duties:

• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
• Review/analyze accounting and financial data, substantiate financial statement balances and prepare financial statement account reconciliation
• Ability to function with limited supervision and demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)
• Filemaker or similar ERP system experience preferred
• Must be well organized, detail oriented, self-motivated and demonstrate effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize without much supervision
• Must be willing to work periodic times as required by business conditions, especially at month end
• Perform various accounts payable and accounts receivable duties
• Prepare monthly general ledger/bank reconciliations
• Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts
• Prepare payroll bank account reconciliations
• Adjusting journal entries to general ledger accounts
• Reconcile various general ledger accounts
• Contract experience a Plus

Requirements:

• Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field required - CPA preferred
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a corporate accounting organization
• Experience operating in a multi-state environment
• Intermediate/Advanced experience with General Ledger Programs
